This photo was taken on Anna Maria Island beach. These birds are fairly shy, and these two photos were just lucky shots. Although that bill looks like it could be a good defensive tool, I’ve see Gulls bully these birds. As stated in my verse, it’s a specialized hunting/feeding tool!
