We hope you are enjoying our chem demo videos set to music. In addition, many of our videos are also narrated. These serve as an alternative pedagogical approach to our demo music videos, and sometimes include more details about the demo. Thanks to our affiliation with the Chicago Section of the American Chemical Society, our resources, including narrated videos, are kept on their web site:

The URL above provides a seque to a philosophy of our outreach demonstration program. Over the twenty years of developing our “Is It Chemistry or Magic?” outreach program, we have included classic demonstrations that have been performed by demonstrators for decades (e.g. the Landolt Clock Reaction and Ammonia Fountain). Others have been modified to fit into our program (e.g. Disappearing Water and Luminol),and some demos are original to our program (e.g. Magic Bottle and Electrolysis). We have always been willing to share our resources including a printed manual and a CD handed out to teachers at the annual Illinois State Fair. Our website (chemagic.com) now serves as a modern means of sharing our resources.

Below are narrated and music videos of the same demonstration. Let us know what you think.
